SCMW Solutions LLC is a registered Engineering and Design firm based in Katy, Texas, known for its expertise in structural engineering. They are seeking a full-time Remote Structural Engineer responsible for performing structural calculations, analyzing and designing building systems, and collaborating closely with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Performing structural calculations
- Analyzing and designing building systems
- Preparing component and cladding calculations
- Collaborating closely with engineers, drafters, and project stakeholders
- Preparing structural analysis
- Developing design solutions
- Performing component and cladding design calculations
- Reviewing drawings
- Coordinating with drafting teams
- Ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, industry standards, and project requirements
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, structural analysis, and component and cladding design
- Working experience with engineering design software such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, RISA, and Enercalc or Tekla Tedds
- Working experience with Metal Building applications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote environment
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and close attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering (Minimum 5 years Experience)
- Working knowledge with latest IBC (International Building Code) and ASCE7 (American Society of Civil Engineers 7), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), AISC Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel buildings, AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute), ACI (American Concrete Institute)
- Working experience with engineering design software such as SAP2000
