BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company. The Operations Business Intelligence Analyst will leverage expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to develop interactive dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique, and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions
- As an AI solutions implementer, you will partner with the Enterprise AI team to design, develop, and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning models to drive business value and solve complex problems across Operations
- Must be self-sufficient in gathering customer requirements and utilizing business context to create meaningful solutions for ES Operations
- Create well-branded and trusted solutions including Tableau & Power BI dashboards, web applications, automations, etc
- Responsible for KPI(s) ownership
- Serve in a collaborative environment, designing and implementing new features and enhancements based on user and team feedback
- Responsible for optimizing user experience and driving best practices in data visualization and user enablement
- Responsible for providing user and technical support documents, along with training
- Participate in user acceptance and quality assurance testing to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain robust data governance processes to ensure data quality across all solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Database Development, Software Engineering, or Computer Science with 2+ years' applicable experience
- Proficiency in SQL
- Working experience with Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with AI/machine learning, statistics and other data science tools (Stack AI, Microsoft Azure AI, Google AI Studio)
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with ETLs and data pipelines
- Strong Python skills
- Must be a team player, be comfortable in a multi-task environment, and have experience in presenting work output to all levels of management
- Must take initiative to solve problems, implement process improvements, and offer technical support to others on the team
- Manufacturing/Operations experience
- Alteryx/Dataiku/Knime experience
- Working AWS experience
