Dice is seeking a Salesforce Developer who is a senior, hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining Salesforce solutions. The role requires proficiency in UI-based configuration and custom Apex development to support complex system integrations across various Salesforce clouds.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the platform authority for UI-based configuration, including the design of custom objects, schema relationships, validation rules, and formula fields
- Expertly utilize Salesforce Flow (record-triggered, screen flows, and subflows) to automate business processes with a 'configuration-first' mindset
- Optimize the end-user experience using Dynamic Forms, Lightning record pages, and standard Salesforce UI capabilities
- Design and develop Apex classes, triggers, and invocable actions to extend the platform beyond declarative limits
- Build and maintain robust system integrations (connects) between Salesforce and external data sources using Apex and platform-native integration patterns
- Develop and maintain Lightning Web Components (LWC) to enhance user interfaces and support specialized business workflows
- Translate functional business requirements into scalable Salesforce designs that align with platform best practices and governor limits
- Design and maintain a secure security model using permission sets, sharing rules, and role hierarchy, particularly within regulated (Health Cloud) environments
- Identify and remediate technical debt, modernizing legacy automation (Workflow Rules/Process Builder) into high-performance Flows and Apex
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across configuration, automation, custom code, and integrations
- Maintain clear technical and functional documentation for all Flows, custom code, and platform standards
- Partner with DevOps and stakeholders to define release practices and environment strategy (sandboxes, deployments)
Requirements:
- 10+ years in IT with 5+ years of dedicated Salesforce development experience in complex, multi-cloud environments
- Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce Flow AND Apex (Triggers, Classes, Integrations)
- Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I (PDI) are required
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between 'clicks' and 'code,' selecting the right tool for the specific business challenge
- College degree, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a Clinical focus
