STACK Infrastructure provides digital infrastructure to innovative companies and is seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering & Design. This role involves overseeing project designs, maintaining company standards, and supporting the development of energy-efficient data center facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third party design consultants
- Ensure that project designs are completed on schedule and within budget
- Supply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company’s existing facilities
- Develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner furnished and contractor installed (OFCI) equipment and systems
- Support the procurement of owner furnished and contractor installed equipment and systems through vendor submittal reviews, approvals and factory witness testing
- Maintain and update the legacy basis of design documents
- Assist in development of new basis of designs for emerging business needs
- Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to maximize energy and cost efficiency of the company’s data centers
- Communicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations
- Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and design trends related to the organizations industry
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of data centers and specification of electrical equipment for mission critical facilities
- Expertise in diesel engine standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies and a full understanding of how to design a concurrently maintainable facility are a must
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification desired with progress towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
- Baseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
