Manager, Electrical Engineering

STACK Infrastructure provides digital infrastructure to innovative companies and is seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering & Design. This role involves overseeing project designs, maintaining company standards, and supporting the development of energy-efficient data center facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third party design consultants
• Ensure that project designs are completed on schedule and within budget
• Supply engineering expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company’s existing facilities
• Develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner furnished and contractor installed (OFCI) equipment and systems
• Support the procurement of owner furnished and contractor installed equipment and systems through vendor submittal reviews, approvals and factory witness testing
• Maintain and update the legacy basis of design documents
• Assist in development of new basis of designs for emerging business needs
• Identify, recommend, and implement new technologies and systems to maximize energy and cost efficiency of the company’s data centers
• Communicate and implement engineering and design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and design trends related to the organizations industry
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of data centers and specification of electrical equipment for mission critical facilities
• Expertise in diesel engine standby generators, uninterruptable power supplies and a full understanding of how to design a concurrently maintainable facility are a must
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification desired with progress towards Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
• Baseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
