They are seeking a Network Security Engineer Senior to play a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of customer networks, including designing and implementing security measures and managing firewalls.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect network and information systems
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security
- Deploy and manage Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and potential threats, providing timely and effective resolutions
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and mitigate potential threats
- Work with other IT and security team members to design, implement, and maintain security frameworks
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of configurations, changes, and security incidents
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science
- Experience: 5+ years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration and management
- Strong experience with deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies
- Proven experience with other security devices and platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are a plus
- Security clearance level: Public Trust
- Experience with network monitoring and security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS)
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices
