PHIL, Inc. is a Series D health-tech startup focused on streamlining prescription management and delivery services. They are seeking a motivated AI Engineering Intern to assist in designing, building, testing, and deploying AI and ML-powered solutions that improve business processes and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models and applications
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Build and optimize data pipelines and inference workflows
- Develop prototypes and AI-powered applications within cloud environments such as AWS
- Work with both structured and unstructured datasets, including text, APIs, and image-based data
- Experiment with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering techniques, and AI APIs
- Document code, experiments, and technical findings for team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions with the Engineering team
- Present project work and findings to technical and business stakeholders
- Support additional projects and initiatives as needed across the department
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Strong programming skills and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
- Experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Exposure to generative AI, LLMs, natural language processing, or machine learning concepts
- Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and version control systems
- Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices
- Prior internship, research experience, or personal AI/ML projects
