CommonSpirit Health is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit Catholic healthcare organizations, delivering integrated health services. The IT Epic Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions to enhance user experience and meet business requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, configures, tests, implements, and maintains solutions with limited direction
- Responsible for delivering project assignments of medium to high complexity which includes application design, and configuration build. Interacts with the customer user community in a courteous and professional manner to secure business requirements; perform technical requirements translation and work directly with Software Development engineers when development is needed to meet business objectives
- May lead Product Release management functions which may include developing test plans, perform test plans, facilitating with end user for end user acceptance testing and may develop application validation scripts for ongoing operations team
- Interacts with business teams to develop application requirements and installation plans
- Contribute to and maintain a thorough understanding of application standards, policies, and procedures and participates in ensuring transition to operations functions have occurred to Technical Analysts resources for successful ongoing operational support
Requirements:
- Epic Health Information Management (HIM) certification and/or experience required
- Bachelors Other or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment, upon hire
- 2-4 years' experience working in IT as an Application Systems Analyst or Technical analyst type role
- Revenue Cycle and Health Information Management (HIM) IT support experience
- Prior knowledge supporting coding systems in an IT role, preferably Solventum/3M experience
- Server remediation, Citrix Experience, Service Management
- Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies
- 4 or more years' experience application support, implementation or development experience with applications in a hospital or medical related industry
