Data Warehouse Architect

We are looking for a senior-level Data Warehouse Architect to join a collaborative team in Lansing, MI. This is an ongoing, long-term contract opportunity for a technical leader who can bridge the gap between data architecture, security, and systems administration.

Location & Logistics

• Location: Lansing, MI (Candidates must be local within 90 miles).
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite Wednesdays & Thursdays; Remote Mon/Tue/Fri).
• Interview Process: 60-minute Virtual Interview (MS Teams) with video and screen sharing required.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Management: Oversee complex Batch Frameworks and Schedulers to ensure data reliability.
• System Security: Manage Linux security models on ETL servers and Teradata access/security.
• Build Engineering: Lead change management infrastructure and both manual/automated code promotions.
• Leadership: Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and training to development teams.
• Governance: Conduct data architecture reviews, audits, and implement disaster recovery strategies.

Top Required Skills

• Teradata Expert: 8+ years of experience (Top Requirement).
• Linux Power User: 5+ years of experience with security structures and user access.
• Data Integration: Proven track record loading data from multiple complex source systems.
• Problem Solver: Advanced skills in troubleshooting batch support and escalated warehouse issues.
• Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in government or public sector environments.
• Familiarity with Cloud-based BI tools.
