Director of Mechanical Engineering

Metric DCX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering department in designing and executing infrastructure solutions for healthcare facilities. The role involves managing complex mechanical projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with design standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering collaboration and professional development
• Manage complex mechanical projects end-to-end, including task delegation and resource allocation
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, PM, construction)
• Review designs for compliance and present to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for approval

Requirements:

• Experience in leading a mechanical engineering department
• Proven track record in designing and executing infrastructure solutions for healthcare facilities
• Ability to manage complex mechanical projects end-to-end
• Experience in task delegation and resource allocation
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (electrical, PM, construction)
• Ability to review designs for compliance
• Experience presenting to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for approval
