AGI is a global food-based infrastructure company providing equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities. The Design Engineering Manager is responsible for leading design engineering activities across AGI’s North America Storage product lines, ensuring alignment between engineering execution and product management priorities, and delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design engineering activities across storage, structural, and conditioning product lines, ensuring alignment with product management roadmaps and business priorities
- Coordinate engineering resources and project schedules to ensure timely execution of design projects and new product development initiatives
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, dependable, and properly configured products through robust design practices and application engineering tools
- Provide subject matter expertise across AGI product lines, supporting internal teams and guiding design decisions to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability
- Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Support teams to align priorities, resolve issues, and deliver integrated solutions
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability
- Lead development of technical training materials and provide guidance to internal teams, customer service, and field support organizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Civil, Agricultural, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience leading new product development and engineering design initiatives
- Strong experience in structural design and delivering complete engineered product solutions
- In-depth knowledge of AGI product lines or similar industrial/agricultural systems
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute complex engineering projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet performance targets
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Valid driver's license and passport; ability to travel up to 10% (North America)
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng. in Canada or PE in the U.S.)
