VoiceThread is an EdTech company serving colleges and universities with a platform that facilitates voice and video conversations. They are seeking a Sales & Account Manager to expand their customer pipeline, manage leads, and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Finding and securing new sales with universities, schools, and districts that align with our mission
- Running discovery calls, demos, and proposals on inbound leads and outbound targets
- Managing expansion efforts of existing institutional customers
- Building and executing outbound campaigns into defined target segments (state university systems, consortia, prior pilot accounts, whitespace inside existing systems)
- Maintaining accurate HubSpot pipeline data and providing clear updated weekly forecasts
- Coordinating with our training, support, and integrations leads to move technical and faculty-side requirements through the pipeline
- Processing MSAs, Order Forms, and renewals through to closed-won and handoff to billing
- Hitting quarterly new and expansion revenue targets
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with at least some of it selling into higher education
- A demonstrated track record of hitting quota
- Strong HubSpot skills, or comparable CRM proficiency you can transfer quickly
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the discipline to keep notes, send recaps, and follow up without being chased
- A bachelor's degree, though we care far more about your sales record
- Direct experience selling instructional technology or LMS-adjacent products to colleges and universities
- Familiarity with Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, or Moodle integration conversations
- A book of business where renewals were a substantial part of your number
