Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Retape AI is focused on revolutionizing the debt settlement industry by replacing legacy systems with AI-driven solutions. The AI Engineer will design and implement AI systems that enhance the efficiency of human agents, ensuring that they can focus on tasks requiring judgment and empathy.

Responsibilities:

• Build and fine-tune LLM-powered agents for real workflows: voice agents that talk to creditors, data assistants that surface case context for human agents, and document pipelines that read statements, offers, and legal notices
• Design the evaluation systems that tell us whether our agents are actually getting better — not just whether they look good in a demo
• Build thoughtful human-in-the-loop flows. At Retape, engineers own the product end-to-end, from API design to the UX of the review screen
• Work directly with our system of record to give agents the context they need to act reliably
