Remote Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing) - 50866

Turing is the world’s leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to projects that evaluate and enhance AI systems through mechanical engineering, system design, and production optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Design and solve real-world mechanical and manufacturing engineering problems to test AI reasoning
• Write clear, structured solutions covering mechanical design, materials selection, failure analysis, and production methods
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with engineering principles
• Collaborate with researchers to refine AI understanding of simulation reasoning, calculations, and industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer
• Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and engineering analysis methods (FEA, CFD) preferred
• Strong English communication and technical reasoning skills
• Comfortable using web-based tools for annotation and review
