Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire DBCC Specialist with strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to support data integrity, database consistency, and application health initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with DBCC (Database Consistency Checks), Guidewire production support, data remediation, and troubleshooting complex transactional issues within Guidewire environments.
This role requires close collaboration with business teams, Guidewire developers, DBAs, QA teams, and infrastructure teams to identify, analyze, and resolve database inconsistencies while ensuring system stability and compliance with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and manage Guidewire DBCC checks across PolicyCenter and BillingCenter environments to identify data inconsistencies and integrity issues.
Analyze DBCC results, investigate root causes, and coordinate remediation activities with technical and business teams.
Develop and execute SQL queries/scripts for data validation, correction, and reconciliation activities.
Support Guidewire production environments by troubleshooting application, integration, and data-related issues.
Collaborate with Guidewire developers and architects to resolve defects related to data integrity and business rule execution.
Monitor system health, performance, and data quality across Guidewire applications.
Participate in Guidewire upgrade, migration, and release activities with focus on DBCC validation and data consistency.
Work closely with QA and business users to validate fixes and ensure successful deployment outcomes.
Maintain documentation for DBCC findings, remediation steps, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, audit, and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with Guidewire applications, specifically PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire DBCC tools and frameworks.
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience troubleshooting Guidewire data inconsistencies, batch failures, and transactional issues.
Knowledge of Guidewire data model, integrations, and core insurance workflows.
Experience supporting Guidewire production or enterprise support environments.
Understanding of insurance domains including policy, billing, and claims processing.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
