Petroleum or Process Engineer | Remote

Crossing Hurdles is a company focused on engineering, manufacturing, and operations. They are seeking a Petroleum or Process Engineer to support AI-related work by designing prompts, evaluating AI outputs, and contributing expertise to enhance AI system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Support AI-related work focused on engineering, manufacturing, and operations workflows
• Design rubric-style LLM prompts and evaluate AI-generated outputs
• Create and review structured evaluation tasks related to industrial and operational scenarios
• Assess model reasoning, accuracy, and practical applicability in engineering contexts
• Contribute domain expertise to improve AI system performance and reliability

Requirements:

• Experience as a manufacturing operations leader, petroleum engineer, industrial engineer, or controls engineer
• Strong understanding of engineering and operational processes
• Ability to design effective prompts and critically evaluate LLM responses
• Excellent analytical thinking and written communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Prior experience working on Mercor rubric-style tasks
