Sr. Backend & Data Engineer

Angel Studios is a mission-driven movement focused on storytelling, powered by over 2.2 million members. They are seeking a Sr. Backend & Data Engineer to work on backend application development and data engineering, ensuring systems are scalable and reliable while producing high-quality data.

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining Elixir-based systems
• Focused on data engineering, reporting, and analytics infrastructure
• Work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and produce high-quality, actionable data
• Guide engineering best practices around data quality, reporting readiness, and long-term maintainability

Requirements:

• Experience in backend application development
• Experience in data engineering
• Proficiency in Elixir-based systems
• Ability to work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Skills in ensuring systems are scalable and reliable
• Experience in producing high-quality, actionable data
• Knowledge of engineering best practices around data quality, reporting readiness, and long-term maintainability
