RGP is a global network of experts providing solutions across on-demand talent and consulting. They are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in actuarial reporting to modernize the reporting environment by transitioning actuarial measures and reports into their Segment Data Warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Review current actuarial reports and calculations (primarily Excel and SQL-based)
- Clarify key calculation logic and underlying data relationships
- Develop detailed functional requirements and acceptance criteria as needed
- Provide instructions and clarification to developers for replicating reports within the Segment Data Warehouse
- Validate that new reports and measures adhere to business requirements and expected outputs
- Investigate discrepancies and assist in troubleshooting by performing detailed data analysis
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and manage the process through final signoff
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of testing issues
Requirements:
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on reinsurance or insurance industry, specifically in actuarial or reserving reporting processes
- Strong understanding of actuarial calculations, data structures, and drivers behind reserving and financial reporting
- Ability to translate complex business rules into clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria
- Hands-on experience validating data accuracy and reconciling reports
- High Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify anomalies and recommend solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
