Podium Education is a company dedicated to transforming the college experience and enhancing student outcomes. The Data Engineer will develop and maintain core data systems to support marketing performance and decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines across internal and external data sources
- Develop and manage data models that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making
- Integrate data from platforms such as Salesforce, marketing tools, and internal systems into a centralized warehouse
- Ensure data quality and reliability through testing, monitoring, and alerting
- Partner with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver actionable datasets
- Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Support reporting and analytics workflows by delivering clean, well-structured data
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to scalable data practices and processes
- Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, tooling, and workflows as the business grows
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building and maintaining data pipelines
- Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools)
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
- Proven ability to build and own end-to-end data pipelines and data models
- Experience integrating and working with multiple data sources (APIs, SaaS platforms, databases)
- Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics workflows
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience working with marketing, revenue, or enrollment data
- Experience in AWS-based data environments
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments with evolving data infrastructure
