Senior DevOps Engineer (AI/Cloud Modernization)

Tanaq Technical Services (TTS) is a division of St. George Tanaq Corporation that specializes in delivering Enterprise Integrated Technology Solutions and Support Services to the Federal Government. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of HUD’s DevOps platform and cloud-native capabilities, supporting AI/ML modernization efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for software development, DevOps, and ML Ops initiatives
• Establish and manage automated workflows for build, test, and deployment processes
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to support new capability development
• Develop and manage microservices, containerization, and declarative APIs
• Implement data pipelines (Apache Kafka) and automated data validation routines
• Support HUD in maturing architectures, technology stacks, coding standards, version control strategies, software integration points, and milestone plans
• Embed security in DevOps workflows in coordination with the Senior Security Engineer
• Document all processes, configuration management, and privacy/security compliance activities
• Participate in AI/ML proofs of concept and scale pilots into enterprise-ready systems

Requirements:

• 7+ years of DevOps engineering experience, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and automation
• 5+ years supporting federal IT modernization projects preferred
• Experience developing AI/ML-enabled solutions and scaling POCs to production-ready systems
• Expertise with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API design
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST RMF, OMB M-Memos)
• Previous experience in regulated/federal government environments is a plus
• Previous experience supporting HUD OCIO preferred
• Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain and maintain both government clearance and customer approval
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required)
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (required)
• Master's degree in related field (preferred)
• Kubernetes or Docker certification (preferred)
• CI/CD pipeline automation certification (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) preferred
