Tanaq Technical Services (TTS) is a division of St. George Tanaq Corporation that specializes in delivering Enterprise Integrated Technology Solutions and Support Services to the Federal Government. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of HUD’s DevOps platform and cloud-native capabilities, supporting AI/ML modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps for software development, DevOps, and ML Ops initiatives
- Establish and manage automated workflows for build, test, and deployment processes
- Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to support new capability development
- Develop and manage microservices, containerization, and declarative APIs
- Implement data pipelines (Apache Kafka) and automated data validation routines
- Support HUD in maturing architectures, technology stacks, coding standards, version control strategies, software integration points, and milestone plans
- Embed security in DevOps workflows in coordination with the Senior Security Engineer
- Document all processes, configuration management, and privacy/security compliance activities
- Participate in AI/ML proofs of concept and scale pilots into enterprise-ready systems
Requirements:
- 7+ years of DevOps engineering experience, including CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and automation
- 5+ years supporting federal IT modernization projects preferred
- Experience developing AI/ML-enabled solutions and scaling POCs to production-ready systems
- Expertise with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API design
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST RMF, OMB M-Memos)
- Previous experience in regulated/federal government environments is a plus
- Previous experience supporting HUD OCIO preferred
- Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain and maintain both government clearance and customer approval
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (required)
- Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (required)
- Master's degree in related field (preferred)
- Kubernetes or Docker certification (preferred)
- CI/CD pipeline automation certification (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) preferred
