Duolingo is on a mission to provide the best education globally and make it universally accessible. The Senior Product Manager for In-App Purchases will drive the strategy and execution of features that enhance learner engagement through the virtual gaming economy, focusing on the development and optimization of in-app purchase offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategy and execution for features that keep learners engaged on Duolingo, focusing on the virtual gaming economy
- Develop and drive our in-app purchase business and consumer facing product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
- Lead and iterate the roadmap for our IAP items all the way from discovery and purchase to adoption post purchase
- Experiment with different IAP levers (e.g. pricing, selection, visibility) to unlock bookings growth without compromising our educational mission
- Establish the product vision and strategy for the IAPs business, and build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners, and the executive team
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas
- Partner with product designers to ensure a fun and delightful user experience in our product
- Work with engineers and designers to help guide feature development
- Perform experiment analysis on features and find opportunities for optimization
- Execute with urgency and excellence
Requirements:
- Proven track record in building monetization products for mobile games, with strong product management expertise
- Strong understanding of gaming monetization models
- A desire to make the world a better place through technology and education
- Experience generating impressive results as a product manager
- Ability to utilize user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions
- Top-tier design sense -- every pixel matters at Duolingo
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, be curious, and innovative
- Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Design, Psychology, or equivalent
- Experience in growing a mobile IAP business
- Experience in optimizing gaming economies including in-app currencies
