Software Quality Engineer

Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, and they are seeking a Software Quality Engineer. The role involves developing and maintaining complex test suites for layered products on the OpenShift platform, as well as collaborating with product teams on testing automation and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, improve and maintain testing automation
• Develop, improve and maintain tooling and support automation
• Report and track bugs and issues using corporate tracking tools
• Collaborate both within the team and with external teams on test process improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role
• Must have two (2) years of experience with: debugging container related issues; writing and debugging quality test scripts in multiple languages; working with cloud-native or container-based application platforms; working with virtualization products; and software testing and quality assurance methodologies
• Must have one (1) year of experience with defect tracking and test management tools
