Project Management Lead

Humana Inc. is a leading U.S. healthcare company, and they are seeking a Project Management Lead to provide strategic leadership on enterprise-level projects. The ideal candidate will ensure delivery excellence across multiple initiatives, align project management practices with organizational goals, and mentor project management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams on best practices, adherence to processes, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the full project portfolio lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
• Establish and maintain rigorous project management standards within large initiatives in alignment with PM, Agile methodologies and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify business needs, define project scope, and ensure clear project ownership
• Monitor and report on project performance using key metrics such as adherence, cycle times, lead times, and risk load
• Guide risk identification, mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution of high-impact issues
• Foster a culture of quality, speed, and agility in project delivery, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and internal policies
• Serve as an advisor to executive leadership on program status, risks, resource needs, and opportunities for innovation

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including large-scale, cross-functional, and technical projects
• Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and Agile delivery frameworks
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams, influence without authority, and drive organizational change
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with project management tools
• Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree preferred
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification highly desirable
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture, security, data governance, and disaster recovery practices
