Humana Inc. is a leading U.S. healthcare company, and they are seeking a Project Management Lead to provide strategic leadership on enterprise-level projects. The ideal candidate will ensure delivery excellence across multiple initiatives, align project management practices with organizational goals, and mentor project management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams on best practices, adherence to processes, and continuous improvement
- Oversee the full project portfolio lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Establish and maintain rigorous project management standards within large initiatives in alignment with PM, Agile methodologies and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify business needs, define project scope, and ensure clear project ownership
- Monitor and report on project performance using key metrics such as adherence, cycle times, lead times, and risk load
- Guide risk identification, mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution of high-impact issues
- Foster a culture of quality, speed, and agility in project delivery, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and internal policies
- Serve as an advisor to executive leadership on program status, risks, resource needs, and opportunities for innovation
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including large-scale, cross-functional, and technical projects
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and Agile delivery frameworks
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, influence without authority, and drive organizational change
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with project management tools
- Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree preferred
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification highly desirable
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture, security, data governance, and disaster recovery practices
