About this role
NR Consulting is seeking a Data Movement Engineer to support and optimize enterprise ETL and Snowflake data environments. This role focuses on production support, data pipeline optimization, data modeling, troubleshooting, and Snowflake solution development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, optimize, and support Snowflake ETL/data pipelines
- Monitor and troubleshoot data integrity, latency, and pipeline failures
- Support CDC, SCD Type 2, Data Vault, and dimensional modeling frameworks
- Develop high-performance SQL queries and scalable data models
- Provide production support for Snowflake, DB2, Airflow, and orchestration tools
- Perform data quality validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and application teams
- Support documentation, governance, CI/CD, and operational best practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years in data warehousing and Snowflake development
- Strong Snowflake, Talend, SQL, and ETL expertise
- Experience with Python/Shell scripting, Airflow, Git, Jira/ServiceNow
- Knowledge of Data Vault, CDC, SCD Type 2, and dimensional modeling
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and production support skills
- Experience with Data Vault is a plus
