Data Engineer

Knowvia Tech Inc is seeking a Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric expertise to design data pipelines and deliver business insights. The role involves building analytical solutions and optimizing ETL/ELT processes within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks)
• Develop lakehouses and data warehouses in OneLake / Microsoft Fabric
• Design and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data
• Create Power BI dashboards and reports within the Fabric ecosystem
• Write SQL, DAX, and PySpark for data transformation and analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytics solutions
• Ensure data quality, governance, and documentation standards

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Data Science, CS, Information Systems, or related field
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst and/or Data Engineer
• DP-600 Certification (Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer) — MANDATORY
• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI
• Knowledge of data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
• Experience with Delta Lake, dbt, or Azure Synapse
• Additional certifications: DP-203, PL-300, AZ-900
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data projects (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview for data governance
