Leidos is a leading company in the engineering sector, currently seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-Op. The role involves researching, analyzing, and designing electrical systems while creating CAD diagrams and participating in team collaborations.
Responsibilities:
- Creating/Updating CAD electrical diagrams, performing simulations, collecting data and documenting technical procedures for research projects
- Conduct schematic analysis, layout reviews, and circuit design/redesign
- Use CAD and other software for simulation development and execution
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to design reviews, and work with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or directly related field
- The student must be willing/able to take a semester off to work through the 2027 Spring (January-June) or Fall (June-December) semester
- Minimum 3.0 GPA. Please note your GPA on your resume when submitting your application
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Security clearance
- US Citizenship required
- Willing and able to relocate to Reston, Virginia, if needed
- Foundational knowledge in circuit analysis
- Proficiency in simulation software (MATLAB, etc)
- Basic computer programming skills (Python, C/C++, etc)
- Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, C/C++, Python or VHDL/Verilog
- Foundational knowledge in either Chemical, Biological or Nuclear engineering
