GEOR Global Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Service Engineer to provide after-sales technical support for local projects in the U.S. The role involves resolving electrical control issues, conducting on-site surveys, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide after-sales electrical technical support for local projects in the U.S., resolving electrical control issues (PLC, robots, etc.) during the post-delivery stage. Complete electrical drawing modifications, program optimization, and spare parts ordering in accordance with company standards, and close out faults effectively
- Perform on-site electrical design change implementation, installation guidance (wiring and connection inspection), power-on commissioning, and safety verification for U.S. customers, ensuring compliance with customer standards
- Conduct on-site surveys, develop solutions, support quotations, and prepare documentation for the electrical portion of small ECR modification projects for U.S. customers, helping to secure orders
- Assist projects in the sales-execution phase with on-site electrical issue identification, control scheme validation, debugging, and other support activities
- Regularly review electrical fault cases from U.S. project sites, summarize root causes and improvement recommendations, and produce experience feedback documents
- Support the acceptance process for North American projects, handle customer electrical-related complaints, and enhance customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- Must have legal work authorization in the U.S. and be based in the U.S
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design or on-site commissioning of non-standard automation equipment; experience in after-sales support for lithium battery production lines is preferred
- Proficient in EPLAN, CAD, or other electrical design software; excel in at least two of the following mainstream PLC platforms – Siemens, AB (Rockwell), Beckhoff – with the ability to independently debug and modify programs
- Familiar with CE/UL project certification processes and on-site electrical safety codes
- Fluent in both English and Chinese, able to independently conduct technical meetings with foreign customers
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Willing to be based long-term in the USA and willing to travel as required by service projects
- Experience in after-sales support for lithium battery production lines
- Experience with TESLA projects is a plus
