Salesforce Applications Architect

We are looking for a Software Solutions Architect to lead the technical design, development, and modernization of critical, large-scale public service applications.

This is a unique "working architect" position combining high-level strategy with 80% hands-on development and integration.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Location: Lansing, MI (Candidates must be local within 90 miles at the time of application)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (non-negotiable)
  • Onsite: Wednesdays & Thursdays
  • Remote: Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays

Core Technical Requirements

• Salesforce Certification: Required.
• 5+ Years of Experience in the following areas:
  • Hands-on Salesforce Development (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds, and Field Service Lightning/FSL).
  • Java & Web Services development.
  • SQL & Oracle SQL development (including query optimization and performance tuning).
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather business/technical requirements in an Agile environment.
• DevOps Expertise: Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (pipeline-as-code, branching strategies, automated testing).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and design using Salesforce's Well-Architected Framework.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Ensure secure application development lifecycle (SADLC) practices are met.
• Solve complex system design, programming, and data integration challenges.

Interview Process

• Round 1: 60-minute Virtual Interview via MS Teams (Video required, laptop setup, screen-share ready, and identity validation at start).
• Round 2: In-Person Interview in Lansing, MI.
