About this role
IronPlane is a company that helps ambitious ecommerce brands build, scale, and optimize complex digital commerce experiences. They are seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to lead a globally distributed team and ensure delivery quality across a portfolio of ecommerce clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a globally distributed team of Project Managers across North America, LATAM, and Europe
- Partner closely with HR and leadership on hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance feedback, and PM team development
- Drive operational consistency, delivery standards, and PM best practices across multiple client accounts and teams
- Maintain visibility into portfolio health, delivery risks, client sentiment, scope pressure, and overall project performance
- Lead delivery health reviews and support PMs in resolving escalations, delivery blockers, and cross-functional challenges
- Serve as a senior escalation point for strategic US-based client accounts and help maintain strong client relationships during complex delivery situations
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, UX, and Delivery leadership to ensure successful project execution and release readiness
- Support process improvements, workflow optimization, and operational maturity initiatives across the organization
- Contribute to AI-assisted reporting, delivery visibility, and operational tooling improvements
- Participate in strategic project kickoffs, account transitions, and discovery processes for new engagements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of ecommerce or digital project delivery experience
- Strong people leadership skill
- Experience leading or mentoring Project Managers or delivery teams
- Strong understanding of software development and agile delivery
- Experience working in a digital agency or ecommerce services environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
- Experience managing multiple client accounts in a remote environment
- Magento / Adobe Commerce experience
- Experience working with US-based clients
- Experience with AI-assisted operational tooling
