Dice is a recruiting company seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Healthcare Data and ETL. The role involves supporting and enhancing software applications within the Client product suite, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality software development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance high-quality software modules for the Client product suite
- Analyze and resolve software-related issues originating from internal or external customers
- Document specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production rollout
- Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of the primary discipline and developing knowledge of related disciplines
- Execute solution enhancements to improve performance and availability
- Communicate technical and operational issues to both engineering and business leadership in a timely manner
- Ensure all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems
- Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to existing processes or systems that improve efficiency and results
- Continuously improve and enhance knowledge of new technologies selected and integrated into the Client product suite
- Execute all appropriate facets of the Client Software Development Lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement
- Mentor other developers
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual Performance Plan
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned
- Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technically related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Must have healthcare data experience
- Proficiency working with large datasets
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience working with ETL processes
- Experience optimizing and tuning SQL/Oracle queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience with MS Access
- Experience with scripting languages such as VBScript and PowerShell
- Experience with Java frameworks and .NET Framework
- Knowledge of one or more enterprise scheduling tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills
