Focused Software is a company dedicated to improving operational compliance for agencies serving the IDD and long-term care community. They are seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive initiatives, translate complex requirements into actionable specifications, and collaborate across teams to enhance their compliance software.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product roadmap and make the call on what gets built next when there are five "urgent" things and capacity for two
- Lead discovery with existing customers — compliance officers, QA directors, administrators, and direct support staff — to uncover real operational pain and validate where to invest
- Translate insights into clear product opportunities, business cases, and prioritization frameworks that hold up under scrutiny
- Partner with the founder on positioning, packaging, and go-to-market input as the product evolves
- Work alongside our business analyst to translate strategy into well-structured PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with the development team on sprint planning, solution reviews, and release activities
- Measure product outcomes post-release, validating whether initiatives actually reduce compliance burden for our customers
- Bring direct, pessimistic analysis to product decisions — we'd rather catch what's broken early than ship and hope
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Product Manager in healthcare SaaS
- Direct product experience in IDD, HCBS, long-term care, home health, or adjacent long-term services and supports
- Working knowledge of healthcare compliance workflows: credentialing, exclusion screening, training and certification tracking, EVV, Medicaid waiver billing, or similar
- Demonstrated track record owning a product roadmap end-to-end, from strategy through launch and adoption
- Experience operating in environments without a heavy product org — comfortable being the only PM in the room
- Strong collaboration with engineers, designers, and stakeholders at multiple levels
- Proficient with agile/scrum and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority
- Familiarity with discovery frameworks (e.g., Jobs-to-be-Done, Continuous Discovery)
- Skilled in roadmap planning, prioritization frameworks (RICE, ICE, or similar), and stakeholder alignment
- Proficient in collaboration tools (Google Suite, Slack, Jira, Confluence)
- Comfortable working with remote, globally distributed teams across time zones
