Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI, providing high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprises. The Director, Finance Business Partner - Commercial will lead pricing execution and ensure economic integrity across Nscale's US operations, translating business strategy into financeable commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Own pricing execution for US commercial transactions
- Operate and maintain the US implementation of Nscale’s global pricing engine
- Ensure a single source of truth for pricing assumptions and cost stack inputs
- Apply and enforce margin guardrails and pricing governance
- Lead repricing mechanics (chip transitions, contractual uplifts, product / design evolution)
- Prevent model duplication and assumption fragmentation across stakeholders
- Lead economic feasibility analysis for US transactions, ensuring deals are viable, financeable, and contractually aligned
- Partner with Strategy on complex transactions and new monetisation models (e.g. token-based inference pricing), supplying the economic foundation for structuring
- Quantify funding and working capital requirements, assessing advance payment structures, and margin risk under different financing scenarios
- Support customer negotiations by articulating cost assumptions and economic rationale
- Ensure back-to-back alignment across customer, Colo, OEM, and financing arrangements
- Quantify SLA exposure and delay-related cost impacts to inform deployment prioritisation and capital allocation
- Translate infrastructure capacity inputs into commercial inventory availability
- Ensure pricing assumptions reflect GPU allocation realities and infrastructure constraints
- Partner with AI Capacity Planning to align deployment timing with revenue expectations
- Provide economic drivers supporting integrated business planning and capital efficiency
- Provide commercial economic drivers into FP&A forecasting and planning
- Align pipeline economics with revenue, margin, and capital planning expectations
- Act as the US Finance authority for deal economics and pricing consistency
- Support audit, governance, and commercial commitment oversight
Requirements:
- 6-10+ years in Commercial Finance, Infrastructure Finance, or Strategic Finance within capital-intensive environments
- Deep understanding of unit economics, cost stacks, and deal pricing mechanics
- Experience supporting complex, structured commercial transactions
- Strong modelling capability combined with commercial judgment
- Ability to operate confidently with senior commercial, strategy, and infrastructure leaders
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution as the business evolves
- Experience in AI, cloud, hardware, or GPU-based infrastructure
