Data Engineer

SIMARN Solutions is seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join their agile team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale modern data solutions on a cloud platform, collaborating with business stakeholders and technology teams to create impactful data products that drive decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products within a cloud ecosystem (GCP preferred)
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Dataflow, Dataform, Matillion, or similar
• Develop robust data models using BigQuery or modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) to support analytics and business intelligence
• Deliver impactful data solutions for BI tools like Looker, QuickSight, or other visualization platforms
• Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code (SQL, scripts, and procedures) that meets functional and performance standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve data and system issues, providing ongoing support and ensuring high availability of data systems
• Act as a technical mentor, sharing knowledge and promoting engineering best practices within the team
• Partner with external vendors to co-develop and integrate solutions
• Communicate effectively with project leads and team members regarding progress, risks, and solutions
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• 3–5 years in data engineering or related roles
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field
• Strong expertise in cloud data platforms (GCP preferred)
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
• Proficiency in SQL and data pipeline development
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
