Senior Principal Software Engineer - Media Ads Service

Oracle is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture and delivery of large-scale streaming and ad delivery systems. The role involves driving technical direction, solving complex distributed systems problems, and mentoring engineers to ensure the delivery of reliable systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and evolution of scalable, resilient backend services for video delivery, ad insertion, and real-time traffic orchestration
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner across product, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver reliable systems
• Drive architecture reviews, resolve high-severity performance and scaling issues, and establish best practices for quality, observability, and operational excellence

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or real-time streaming platforms
• Strong experience with high-scale backend architectures, networking, service reliability, and performance optimization
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including architecture ownership, cross-functional influence, and mentoring senior engineers
• Experience with video delivery, ad tech, or low-latency media systems is highly preferred
