Senior Business Analyst

TriCom Technical Services is seeking a hands-on Sr. IT Business/Quality Analyst to support complex, data-driven initiatives across business and development teams. This role combines business analysis, SQL/data mapping, requirements elicitation, and hands-on QA responsibilities within a fast-moving Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into user stories, workflows, process maps, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
• Write SQL queries regularly to analyze data, review table definitions, troubleshoot issues, and support data mapping across integrations
• Serve as the primary bridge between business users and developers by clarifying requirements and ensuring requests are fully vetted before development begins
• Support QA/UAT activities including manual testing, defect validation, release support, and testing coordination
• Analyze business and system issues, identify gaps, and recommend practical solutions
• Mentor junior analysts and help drive strong documentation and testing practices across the team

Requirements:

• 6+ years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise IT environments
• Strong experience with SQL, data mapping, and data-driven projects
• Experience writing user stories and requirements documentation
• Hands-on QA/UAT and manual testing experience
• Strong requirements elicitation skills, especially with difficult or highly protective stakeholders
• Self-directed personality with the ability to independently learn systems and drive work forward
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
