MedNext is a next generation, cloud-based healthcare platform developed by Medical Wizard, an Australian healthcare technology company. They are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to improve product quality, release confidence, and testing efficiency across their platform.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks
- Perform functional and regression testing
- Improve QA processes and standards
- Mentor junior QA team members
- Help drive a culture of quality across the organisation
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for browser-based applications
- Build scalable regression testing processes
- Improve test coverage and testing efficiency
- Contribute to automation framework improvements
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user workflow testing
- Identify, document, and track defects clearly
- Validate bug fixes and product enhancements
- Ensure high-quality releases across multiple MedNext products
- Perform API testing and validation
- Validate integrations between system components
- Assist with database validation and data integrity checks
- Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and DevOps teams
- Participate in sprint planning, feature reviews, and release activities
- Contribute to improving QA standards, documentation, and processes
- Support and mentor junior QA engineers
- Explore AI-assisted testing approaches and tools
- Use AI tools to improve testing productivity and efficiency
- Contribute ideas for modernising QA processes
Requirements:
- Experience in web application testing
- Experience with automation testing tools/frameworks
- Understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Approximately 3–5 years of QA experience
- Experience in automation testing is essential
- Strong English communication skills
- High attention to detail

- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving ability
- Passion for quality and continuous improvement
- Playwright experience (highly desirable)
- Cypress or Selenium experience
- Basic SQL/database knowledge
- Experience with browser-based SaaS applications
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior QA team members is advantageous
