Software Engineer, Lua

Vercel is an agentic infrastructure company that shapes how the web is built, creating products that help developers move from idea to production. The role involves working with the CDN Infrastructure team to scale and improve services, focusing on building and running Vercel's built-in CDN while optimizing reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Create new primitives to expand the product feature set of Vercel CDN
• Optimize the Vercel CDN experience to improve reliability and lower latency
• Analyze web latency to find sources of tail latency
• Advance the developer experience for 15+ developers working primarily in Lua

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Lua
• Are knowledgeable and experienced with web servers, & HTTP
• Intrigued about tackling the complex challenges serving petabytes of data and billions of requests to millions of people
• A collaborative team player who believes in the power of strong teams to drive significant changes and innovation
• Are keen to experiment, challenge norms and deliver secure and reliable systems that delight Vercel's users
• Comfortable in Golang
