Cognizant is a leading company in the technology and consulting sector, and they are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Guidewire PolicyCenter to drive business transformation initiatives within the Property & Casualty insurance domain. The role involves leading business analysis activities, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with product owners and development teams to deliver scalable Guidewire solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis activities for Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations, including requirement gathering, documentation, validation, and delivery support
- Facilitate inception workshops and requirement sessions to define scope, prioritize features, and align stakeholders
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Partner with development and QA teams to clarify requirements, review test cases, and ensure successful delivery outcomes
- Act as a functional SME across programs, supporting stakeholders with domain expertise and driving continuous improvements
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Property & Casualty insurance domain, with expertise in business processes and regulatory requirements
- Proven hands-on experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations
- Experience leading business analysis activities including requirement elicitation, workshops, documentation, and stakeholder management
- Ability to define system scope, analyze business needs, and translate them into structured requirements and solutions
- Experience collaborating in Agile environments, including sprint ceremonies, demos, and backlog refinement
- Experience with Guidewire digital or E&SS (Enterprise & Self-Service) implementations
- Workers' Compensation domain knowledge
- Cloud implementation or digital transformation project experience
- Guidewire certifications (ACE, Professional, or Analyst)
- Certifications in Agile frameworks (SAFe, JIRA) or relevant insurance domain certifications
