Scientist II

Sigma Inc is seeking a highly skilled Scientist II – Image Analysis & Digital Pathology to join our team in Ridgefield, CT. This role focuses on developing advanced image analysis pipelines for biomedical research, including histology and multiplex imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize image analysis pipelines for both 2D and 3D biomedical images
• Perform quantitative analysis of: Histology, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IF (Immunofluorescence), Multiplex imaging datasets
• Apply machine learning and classical image processing techniques for: Feature extraction, Segmentation, Classification
• Integrate and utilize image analysis platforms such as: HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath, CellProfiler
• Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, and data scientists to define analytical endpoints
• Validate image-derived biomarkers and ensure scientific rigor
• Document workflows and ensure reproducibility and compliance
• Support data visualization and reporting for scientific insights
• Enable cross-lab collaboration through algorithm and image transfer
