Acadaca is a technology company specializing in ecommerce solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Lead to own engineering-led quality across all ecommerce deliverables. The role involves designing and implementing automated testing strategies, maintaining CI/CD quality gates, and building AI-assisted QA processes to ensure high-quality deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Automated Testing Strategy: Design and implement the testing strategy across ECS projects: unit, integration, E2E, visual regression, and performance testing
- CI/CD Quality Gates: Build and maintain quality gates in the deployment pipeline. No code reaches production without passing automated checks
- Preview Deployment Validation: Create validation workflows for preview deployments so clients and PMs can review changes before release
- AI-Assisted QA: Build and operate AI agents for automated testing, regression detection, and bug triage. Replace manual QA workflows with intelligent automation
- Cross-Project Standards: Establish testing standards that work across multiple client codebases and the weekly focus calendar model
- Release Confidence: Own the release process quality. Every deployment should have a clear validation trail and rollback path
- Build and operate AI agents specifically for QA automation: test generation, visual regression detection, accessibility scanning
- Use AI tools to generate test cases from requirements and user stories
- Automate bug triage and classification using AI-powered analysis
- Continuously evaluate AI testing tools and integrate the best into the pipeline
Requirements:
- 5+ years in software quality engineering with a strong automation focus
- Deep experience with testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or equivalent)
- CI/CD pipeline design and management (GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
- Experience with visual regression testing, accessibility testing, and performance testing tools
- Shopify and ecommerce testing experience preferred
- AI tool proficiency for test generation and automation
