About this role
NTT DATA Europe & Latam is seeking a highly engaged DevOps Engineer for a large-scale telecommunications project. The role involves managing CI/CD infrastructure, operating container platforms, and supporting migration towards cloud-based architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Setup, operation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD infrastructure across the system landscape (AWS, Web Applications, Microservices, Legacy systems)
- Ensure smooth and automated deployments across environments up to production (DevOps & Continuous Delivery principles)
- Operate and maintain container platforms (primarily OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Close collaboration with development, system, and QA teams
- Implementation and promotion of DevOps best practices
- Support migration and evolution towards cloud-based (AWS) architecture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Informatics or a similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Strong experience with Jenkins (pipeline creation, administration, troubleshooting)
- Experience with ArgoCD (deployment automation for Kubernetes)
- Experience with Ansible (playbook development and automation)
- Experience with Kubernetes (operation and support of containerized applications)
- Experience with OpenShift (cluster administration, developer support)
- Experience with Docker (container build, operation, troubleshooting)
- Good understanding of Elastic Stack (ELK), Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus
- Dashboard creation, alerting, health checks, and monitoring configurations
- Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Bitbucket)
- Integration of repositories into CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of Linux systems (administration and troubleshooting)
- Networking basics and security awareness (firewalls, connectivity)
- Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Experience with Secrets Management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao)
- Experience with SonarQube (code quality integration)
- Good understanding of Traefik (basic configuration and usage)
- Very good English and German communication skills, written and spoken
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is nice to have
- Terraform experience is nice to have
