Jr Data Engineer

iA American Warranty Group is a part of iA Financial Group, focusing on providing clients with confidence and security about their future. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will support the data management team in maintaining the cloud data warehouse and business intelligence platform, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support Snowflake data warehouse (data ingestion, transformation, and modeling) and assist with performance monitoring
• Build and maintain Qlik dashboards and reports with accurate, up-to-date data for business users
• Develop and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines, troubleshooting data issues and ensuring reliable data flow
• Ensure data quality through validation checks, documentation, and support of governance processes
• Assist with SQL optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across Snowflake and Qlik environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support analytics initiatives while continuously improving skills and workflows

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Programming skills and experience with data pipeline frameworks
• 1 year of experience in data engineering, business intelligence or data analysis
• Communication and collaborative mindset
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving data needs
