Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. The role involves developing efficient manufacturing processes, supporting process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- This role will support projects in manufacturing operations and the facilities team
- Lead site infrastructure projects such as cubicle builds, re-locating manufacturing cells, and other facilities project management
- Identify and oversee process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
- Learn program details for inputting capital equipment requests and interface with management & finance to support the capital equipment requirements for the group
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in material handling from internal workflows and outsourced processes
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
- 2D CAD software knowledge (Draftsight or ACAD)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
- Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence and process improvements
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, semiconductor manufacturing, machining, and mechanical assembly
- Computer programming knowledge and/or use of a Access Database or SQL server
- Ability to work effectively with a broad team of people and outside contractors
