Unity is seeking a Workday Finance Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Systems team, acting as a key partner to the Finance organization. The role involves managing Workday Financials configuration and support, collaborating with Finance stakeholders, and driving system enhancements to align with Unity's business priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Workday Financials administrator and day-to-day support contact for the Finance team, triaging and resolving configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with a high degree of responsiveness and quality
- Diagnose and resolve Workday Financials configuration issues across modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions
- Support and deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, from requirements through testing and change management
- Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles — reviewing release notes, assessing functional impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials
- Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems
- Work with Finance leadership to support strategic priorities such as process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives tied to company growth
- Act as a bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring system changes are delivered with appropriate controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations
- Manage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process, communicating status and expectations proactively to stakeholders
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst capacity
- Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently
- Demonstrated ability to support day-to-day Finance operations while simultaneously contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills — you can navigate competing priorities, manage expectations across Finance and IT, and communicate clearly at all levels
- Experience conducting business requirements gathering, gap analysis, and writing functional design documents
- Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and how they translate to Workday configuration
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple open requests and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a track record of building trusted relationships with Finance business partners
- Workday Pro certification in Financial Management
- Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its relationship to the Financials module
- Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting (composite reports, matrix reports, calculated fields)
- Experience with NetSuite, RevPro, Blackline, or other Finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday
- Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project
