Founding AI Engineer (Fintech/LLM)

David Joseph & Company is a high-growth fintech platform seeking a Founding AI Engineer to own the design, development, and scaling of LLM-powered product features. This role will directly impact core product intelligence and user experience through applied AI systems in production.

Responsibilities:

• Own and ship AI features end-to-end from concept to production across full-stack systems
• Design and build LLM-powered product features used by large-scale active user base
• Architect and maintain AI systems including prompt orchestration, memory, and contextual personalization
• Develop retrieval systems leveraging embeddings, RAG pipelines, and financial data grounding
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, reasoning accuracy, and safety
• Optimize model performance, latency, and cost efficiency in production environments
• Implement guardrails and compliance controls for AI systems in regulated financial contexts
• Collaborate directly with founders and cross-functional teams to iterate quickly on product features
