Lumin Digital is a trailblazer in digital banking solutions, empowering credit unions and banks with cutting-edge digital experiences. The Product Manager, Data will own the strategy and execution of data and analytics products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that drive measurable outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Lumin Digital’s data and analytics capabilities, aligning with company objectives and client needs
- Partner with data engineering teams to prioritize and deliver scalable data infrastructure, pipelines, and analytics features built on Databricks and associated data platform technologies
- Leverage Pendo and other product analytics tools to monitor user behavior, measure feature adoption, and inform data-driven product decisions across the platform
- Translate complex data and analytics requirements into clear, actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams
- Develop a deep understanding of the financial services landscape – including regulatory requirements, member data privacy standards, and the unique data needs of credit unions and banks
- Identify and define key metrics, KPIs, and dashboards that help financial institution clients measure engagement, growth, and operational performance
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to gather feedback, validate hypotheses, and incorporate insights into the product roadmap
- Partner with design, engineering, and QA to deliver high-quality analytics features and data products within Agile SCRUM sprints
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on data strategy, analytics tooling, and data governance best practices within financial services
- Engage with the Lumin Digital community, contributing to organizational growth through honest, candid, and respectful feedback
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to support AI/ML use cases and ensure scalable, production-ready data foundations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years leading on the product and analytics side — including hands-on experience building or laying down the roadmap for an analytics platform, not just supporting one
- At least 3 years of experience building data and analytics products at an enterprise level, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment with distribution-level clients — hands-on experience building third-party integrations and tools such as Tableau is a strong plus
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, data lakehouse architectures, or equivalent big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, dbt)
- Experience with Pendo or similar product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel) — this role will work alongside another product manager to help develop and utilize Pendo as a core part of the analytics workflow
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling concepts, and BI tooling (e.g., Tableau, Looker, QuickSight)
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance requirements relevant to financial institutions, including NCUA, CFPB, and applicable data security standards
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward data-driven decision-making
- BA/BS degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Experience working with or building products for credit unions or community banks
- Familiarity with digital banking platforms, member data, or financial analytics use cases
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, or advanced segmentation
- Background in SQL and the ability to self-serve on data analysis
- Experience managing data governance or data catalog initiatives within a regulated industry
