
We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist II to join a dynamic public health laboratory network focused on combating Antimicrobial Resistance. In this role, you will work independently to conduct high-complexity testing, isolation, and molecular identification of critical bacterial and yeast pathogens (including E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Candida auris).
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Marion County)
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Shift: Monday Friday, 37.5 hours/week (Flexible daytime hours, no weekends)

Key Responsibilities
What We Are Looking For (Core Skills)
High-Complexity Lab Experience: 2+ years of experience performing and overseeing high-complexity testing is highly desired.
Molecular Techniques: Proven hands-on experience with PCR, WGS, and automated extraction platforms.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with CLIA standards and public health laboratory safety practices.
Education: BA/BS in a biological science is highly preferred.
Environment Adaptability: Ability to maintain a clear thought process while working independently in full protective gear (PPE) with biohazardous materials.
