The role involves managing sales of qualified retirement plans through various financial intermediaries and ensuring that sales goals are met within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of external sales professionals in a defined geographic region
- Ensure productivity and sales goals are met
- Manage budget
- Recruit, hire and develop sales professionals for region
- Maintain insight into competition and industry at large; provide expert opinion to other areas within the organization
- Provide sales assistance to team members as needed
- Market and promote Transamerica Retirement Services
- Adhere, and ensure adherence, to industry, regulatory authority and other codes of conduct
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent experience
- Experienced sales management professional with an in-depth understanding of the retirement market
- FINRA Series 6 & 63
- Life & Health License
- Expert knowledge of ERISA
- Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills; well organized in thoughts and actions
- Self-motivated and ability to thrive in a fast pace, high volume work environment
- Excellent technical skills
- Ability to motivate others, and establish trust and credibility
