Frontend Software Engineer -Product Design

Talent Stack LLC is partnering with an early-stage AI product company seeking a Frontend Engineer to build polished, user-facing applications. The role involves owning frontend architecture, collaborating with product and design teams, and integrating AI models into workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain modern frontend applications using SvelteKit, React, Vue, or similar frameworks
• Own frontend architecture decisions, scalable component design, and frontend best practices
• Write clean, type-safe TypeScript across UI components, application logic, and API integrations
• Partner closely with product, design, research, and GTM teams to translate user needs into polished product experiences
• Own frontend features end-to-end, from design collaboration through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Build reusable components, frontend patterns, and design system foundations that scale with the team
• Integrate commercial and custom-built AI models into intuitive user workflows
• Make independent UX decisions and tradeoffs with a strong focus on usability, performance, and product quality
• Continuously improve frontend performance, interaction quality, and overall user experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a strong Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical program required
• Coding bootcamps are not accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, excluding internships
• Professional experience building modern web applications in a startup environment
• Strong experience with React, Vue, Svelte, SvelteKit, or similar modern frontend frameworks
• Strong TypeScript experience across frontend development and API integrations
• Demonstrated ability to build polished, user-facing product experiences
• Strong UI/UX sensibility with attention to visual detail, interaction quality, and usability
• Experience owning features or projects end-to-end
• Experience working with design systems, reusable components, and scalable frontend architecture
• Strong product intuition and comfort making UX tradeoffs independently
• Portfolio, GitHub, shipped product examples, or live application examples strongly encouraged
• Master's degree preferred
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered product features
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or utility-first styling frameworks
• Familiarity with Bun or other modern JavaScript runtimes
• Experience with frontend performance optimization, bundle analysis, and application scalability
• Exposure to Kubernetes-based infrastructure
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startup environments
