Software Development Engineer

Remitly is a company dedicated to providing secure and reliable financial services for global money movement. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, code, and test APIs and data storage solutions while collaborating with team members to maintain system stability and deliver projects on time.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and test APIs, data storage solutions, and integration with third-party services
• Identify and fix issues or bugs
• Work with the team to quickly resolve problems and maintain system stability
• Deliver features and projects on time
• Actively participate in team meetings, discussing progress, challenges, and potential solutions with other team members and stakeholders
• Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest backend technologies, tools, and best practices, refining skills
• Receive guidance and mentorship from more senior engineers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field
• 2 years of experience with software design, development, version control, testing, implementation, and debugging
• 1 year of experience with delivering high-quality, high-readability, and scalable software solutions
• 1 year of experience with writing comprehensive test suites with optimal coverage
• 1 year of experience with HTTP protocols, Git, JSON, Rest APIs, Postgres, SQL, and unit testing suits
• 1 year of experience with React, Javascript, and Java
