About this role
Motional is a driverless technology company making autonomous vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality. They are seeking an experienced full stack engineer to join their AI Data Application team to drive the development of ML dataset generation and data search applications, ultimately preparing for a driverless future.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with data mining, ML researchers, and other data platform teams to understand their needs and integrate solutions seamlessly
- Communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Design and build the next generation of data curation, mining and search applications needed to power our next phase of growth as a company
- Mentor junior engineers and peers on best practices and adoption strategies
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of professional experience in building web applications
- Extensive experience with building web applications for search and data curation needs
- Strong programming skills in Typescript and Python
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies such React
- Strong knowledge of building REST and gRPC based services, ideally in Python
- Strong knowledge of AWS ecosystem (EKS, Lambda, etc) and Terraform
- Prior experience in autonomous vehicles (AV) is a plus
- Prior experience with Bazel based build systems
